Thank you to all of our inspired artists who made it to last night’s Artist Reception! It’s less than one week until Inspired Art 2013, and we are looking forward to a great turnout. More than 50 pieces will be available for silent auction, with a few being held in reserve for our first ever live auction. Please visit the artwork page to get an idea of what’s in store for this year, and don’t forget to buy tickets now!

We at the SCORES office are getting very excited with each new submission that comes our way! THANK YOU to all of our participating artists, both new and returning, for their contributions. With the event only one month away, now is the time to mark your calendars, buy tickets, and get ready for a spectacular evening! The night will feature over 50 original artwork pieces of various mediums for auction, and will include both a silent and a live auction, which is new for this year. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks are included in the price of your ticket purchase.

Tickets can be purchased online for $30 or six tickets for the price of five ($150). All proceeds from the event and ticket sales will benefit programming at America SCORES Denver, so please invite your family, friends, art enthusiasts, and community members!

The fourth annual Inspired Art event is scheduled for April 11, 2013 at Artwork Network on Santa Fe Drive. We are excited to bring you updated forms and information, and most importantly, NEW POETRY fresh from the fall season at America SCORES Denver sites!

Our poet-athletes wrote some fun, sad, alliteration, haiku, story-like, and even silly poetry to inspire artists and share with their classmates and communities. Please check the Poetry page to read the additions for 2013 and Artists’ Corner to identify your selections when you have been inspired to create something for our event this year!

2012 Inspired Art a Success!

Thank you to everyone who participated as an artist, volunteer, and/or attended this year’s Inspired Art event at Artwork Network on April 12th! We were fortunate to have forty-eight artists participate with fifty original pieces of work on display. Outside of viewing and bidding on artwork, guests enjoyed performances by eleven of our poet-athletes from four of our schools. We raised $11,200 for continued after-school programming and we could not have done this without the support of The Sutherland Foundation, Starbucks Coffee Company, KMGH Channel 7, Izze, and the hard work from Hilary DePolo and the Starbucks volunteers.

Thank you everyone and we cannot wait for next years Inspired Art!

Please take a few minutes to visit the Poetry page and read the words of inspiration written by children in our after-school program. If one “speaks” to you louder than another please select it by filling out an Artist Agreement and join other local artists donating original work to be auctioned April 12, 2012 at Artwork Network, 878 Santa Fe Drive.
